infinite potential ✨ 📍: @sifrchicago // Sifr offers a modern Middle Eastern dining experience in an intimate, sleek setting with beautiful rooftop views of the city. The standout dishes, like the succulent Black Tiger Prawns with toum and harissa emulsion, and the sweet-savory Halloumi drizzled with honey and pomegranate molasses, showcase the kitchen’s skill. However, the Branzino, though well-cooked, could benefit from bolder flavors. The drinks, especially the refreshing Sitta and the surprisingly sweet Khamsa, impress with their complexity. Service is friendly, making Sifr a promising spot. I’ll definitely be back to try more. [side bar: an added touch of seductive house music would have really made this experience even better]

It is so hard to show up when you don’t have it yourself. And the DJ when you’re deep in your feelings is like trying to keep a smile on while the Titanic’s sinking—everyone’s counting on you to keep the vibe afloat, even if you’re drowning inside. It’s tough to be the life of the party when your own heart’s throwing a pity party, but you have to hit play, set the vibe, and pretend like your emotions aren’t all up in the mix. When you’re in a service job like this, showing up for people means putting on a smile and and acting like everything is everything, even when it’s not.

I don’t always get to vibe like this, but @airechicago had the perfect rooftop, and you know I had to match it with something cute. The chic and cozy atmosphere had me feeling right at home and the city skyline as the backdrop made it even better. As far as the food, the tacos were delicious and perfectly paired with the whole experience. If you’re looking for a spot with killer views, good eats, and a vibe that gives pure city life, this is it. I won’t always be the DJ but the views and ambiance are worth it.
