VIRTUE

Located in Hyde Park, Virtue is a southern restaurant situated on the corner of 53rd and Harper. Featuring an ambient dining room, Virtue feeds my spirit and transports me back to an earlier time in New York when James Baldwin could be my friend and I pride myself on being creative, intellectual, professional, traditional, and college educated.  On my visit, I ordered the blackened catfish, mac and cheese, gem lettuce, and cornbread. Other menu notables include the beef short rib, broccoli salad, and shrimp and green tomatoes.  As far as the drinks go, they switch up the cocktail menu often so my suggestions may not be relevant once you read this, however a few of my favorites on the menu include: the border patrol, the brown fashioned and the justify.⠀⠀⠀
